Cancellation/No Show Policy

Pet Savers is a non-profit organization that relies on donations and grant funding, clients paying our full, low-cost prices, and every reservation showing up, to ensure that we can stay in operation and continue to assist over 10,000 pets each year. For that reason, Pet Savers has put in place a firm No-Show Policy.

In the event that a reservation needs to be canceled or rescheduled, it’s very important that Pet Savers is given at least a 24-hour notice. That appointment space has been reserved, thus prohibiting our ability to schedule another pet for services that day. A properly canceled or rescheduled appointment, with advanced notice of 24 hours or more, allows our organization the opportunity to fill that appointment slot with another pet in need of spay/neuter services.

Missed appointments have a direct impact on our ability to meet operational needs and they cost our organization valuable resources, including time and money. Missed appointments, such as repeat no-shows, have a significant impact on our organization.

A surgery appointment is considered a “no-show” if the appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or if the client fails to provide notice and fails to appear for their pet’s spay/neuter reservation.

For this reason, a reservation fee is required to hold each pet’s surgery appointment. This reservation fee is to ensure that you will be here with your pet on the date that you have requested. After surgery, these fees are applied to the balance of your invoice. Any remaining amount is due when you pick up your cat or dog. 

Reservation Fee Amounts:

$50 - Male cats

$50 - Female cats and all dogs under 50lbs

$75 - All dogs over 50 lbs

You will forfeit your reservation fee if you cancel your appointment with less than a 24-hour notice, no-show the day of the surgery, or show up past the 8:30 a.m. drop-off window. 

Only feral or community cats, in live humane traps, are permitted for walk-in surgeries.

  • After a second no-show, non-refundable prepayment of 100% is required to reschedule your appointment.

  • If the appointment is missed a second or third time after a non-refundable prepayment was collected, a "do not serve" restriction may be placed on the client account.

  • Service may be refused to clients that repeatedly no-show.

  • If there are financial challenges, please give us a call or visit our grants/assistance page and we will work with you to ensure financial assistance.

Our team understands that life happens, creating a need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Full refunds of reservation fees are available if 24-hour notice or more is provided. Depending on your bank, most refunds will go back into your account within 3 business days but may take up to a week.
