Grants & Assistance

It is our mission to make essential services such as spay/neuter and vaccines accessible for all members of our community. Below are the current programs or grants available.

To qualify for assistance, you must be low-income and verifiable. What qualifies you for assistance is based on low-income numbers (we use the limits provided by Washington State but that does not mean you have to live in Washington state). Paystubs must be shown at time of scheduling. If unemployed, proof of unemployment or state financial assistance may be used instead (State Award Letter Required, we do not accept EBT cards as proof of income). The numbers below are for the entire household income, not each adult individually.

Grey Muzzle Organization

Pet Savers is on mission to help low-income pet owners with senior dogs through its new “Top Gum” dental promotion, made possible by a newly-awarded $14,000 grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization. The Pet Saver/Grey Muzzle alliance means individual pet owners may qualify for $275 to $375 off dental fees for their senior pooches, depending on the dental care required.

“There are more than 8,900 senior dogs living in low-income households in our area, so we are incredibly grateful to The Grey Muzzle Organization for supporting our Top Gum vision,” said Stephanie Napier, Executive Director of Pet Savers.

The Grey Muzzle Organization, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk senior dogs, selected Pet Savers for this grant based on their commitment to animal welfare and demonstrated need within the community. This collaboration reflects a shared goal of ensuring that senior dogs receive the care and attention they deserve.

$50 Cost

Unscheduled Surgery (these are the ONLY spay/neuter surgeries that do not require an appointment or deposit).

- Limited number of TNR drop offs per day, first-come first-serve.

- If your community cat has fleas, ear mites, worms, or other health concerns and you cannot afford the treatment, we have additional funds available so the cat can still get treatment! Thank you Animal Advocates for your continued support and funding to help these community cats!!

In need? Funds are awarded in-person at the clinic and determined by the availability of funds and individual qualification following Washington State low-income guidelines listed above. WA state award letter will be required to prove you are currently utilizing state assistance.

The only time you will be denied for subsidized funding is if the funds are depleted or you do not fall under the income guidelines above. If you qualify, we will help the best we can!

There can be denial to these funds such as: you are choosing to NOT spay/neuter and want to utilize funds for the vaccine clinic, your WA state award letter is expired, you are a rescue or shelter (please email Stephanie at operations@petsaversspokane.org for 501(c)(3) prices), OR the funding is temporarily gone and we may need to wait to assist you. You cannot use more than one grant or subsidy at a time.
